Two reveals,
one engine.
The Apple AirPods Pro lightpass and the AirPods 4 wearability rotation, painted to canvas as you scroll. 276 frames between them.
Keep scrolling — the animation is your input
The scene below is pinned to your viewport for 5 screen-heights of scroll. Frames advance with your scroll position; reverse it and the animation reverses. Pause and the frame stays.
01 · Lightpass entry
First frames bring the AirPods into existence. Each lightpass-style frame is a baked render with motion blur already in the pixel data — that's why scrubbing feels expensive even though it's just JPEGs.
02 · Reveal arc
Mid-sequence, the case opens and the buds rotate. We're at frame ~50 now. If you scroll back, the same frames are reused from cache instantly.
03 · Inspection pose
Around frame 90 the camera holds long enough for marketing copy. Apple usually parks annotations here in the real product page.
04 · Settle
The last frames lock the product in its hero pose. Once you exit this section the canvas is unpinned and normal layout resumes.
That was 147 individual JPEGs (~6.5 MB total) painted to a single canvas as your scroll position changed. No video element, no codec.
Redesigned for comfort.
How fitting.
AirPods 4 provide exceptional fit, all-day comfort, and greater stability with your every move. Scroll to walk the full 360°.
All-day comfort
A redesigned contour follows the curvature of your ear. The result: lighter pressure points and a fit that disappears after a minute.
Stable through every move
The bud's centre of gravity sits closer to the ear canal so it stays put through workouts, walks, and long-haul travel days.
Acoustic mesh, refined
A precision-machined microphone port cuts wind noise without hardening the visual silhouette. Comfort and clarity, same surface.
One bud. Endless geometry.
Three years of head scans went into a shape that fits more ears than any AirPods before it. Your scroll just walked the full rotation.
Every frame above is one JPEG. Apple uses a single MP4 served as a blob URL; we use 129 individually-cached image fetches that scrub forward and backward instantly. Same end result — your scroll wheel rotates an industrial design 360°.
